Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming appeared revved up and ready to go during his Thursday morning gallop at Pimlico Race Course.

David Grening of the Daily Racing Form reports that the Todd Pletcher trainee was “on the engine for a good part of his early morning gallop.”

According to Grening, Always Dreaming was a handful for exercise rider Nick Bush, and even though he was just galloping, the colt “threw in one eighth in 14.06 seconds and another in 13.81, as he zipped 1 5-8 miles around the Pimlico main track.”

Pletcher said after the training session that Always Dreaming would jog Friday without the draw reins.
